Start a Career in Learning & Development

Free guide for beginners

WELCOME!

We've put together this guide to help professionals transitioning from another field to Learning & Development. We know how daunting it can be to switch careers, especially if you feel you're "too late in the game". Spoiler alert: you're not!

We wanted to make it easy for you to make that transition and take some bold steps. You may be a teacher, a project manager or a team leader. We understand Learning & Development might be completely new territory for you, so we've laid out a step-by-step plan.

Go through each section in the guide and complete the suggested actions. You could do this over the course of a week if you are busy (as we all are!), or you can race through and complete it in one sitting - whichever works for you. The most important thing is to take action, even if it's just a small one.

Many years ago, we chose L&D because we love helping people. And this is what we aim to do with this guide as well. We also build The L&D Academy as a place where you can meet like-minded individuals, colleagues and supportive friends. So don't be shy - ask questions and connect with us and our community of L&D professionals on LinkedIn.

We're here to cheer you along the way and are happy to welcome you to the field of Learning & Development.

Let's dive in.
